In the past there have also been tourist offerings with regard to wellness and cultural activities. However, today, numerous new and special forms of therapy, treatment varieties and health centres have arrived on the scene. The following contains a few examples.

Bizovacke toplice
This place is a well-known curative bath with thermal springs rich in minerals. The locale lies 18km (11.2mi) west of Osijek, on the street between Osijek and Zagreb (Podravinska cesta).

"Naftalan" is a special, medicinal natural oil that is found in only a few places. The medical centres offer modern physical therapy in the form of electrotherapy, kinesiotherapy, massage, hydrotherapy, and naphthalanotherapy.
There are many daily autobus connections in the direction of Zagreb.

The Island of Losinj

The island of Losinj is located in the subtropical Mediterranean region in the northern half of the Adria, about 125km/77.7mi distant from Rijeka. The island possesses a plethora of vegetation which has a beneficial influence on the healing of skin diseases and illnesses in the respiratory organs. The treatment facilities are located in the city of Veli Losinj which is known as one of the most attractive locations on the island. Veli Losinj was mentioned as early as 1892 as a climatic healing spa.
