Buttock Contouring - Aftercare

After liposuction and tautening of the skin, aches, bruises, and swelling may arise. The aches and bruises should have receded after a few days have passed, while the bruises will have faded after 3-6 months at the latest. After about a week, a check-up examination will be necessary, at which point the stitches may also need to be removed. You should wear pants with a banded waist both day and night for at least six weeks. You should avoid physically strenuous activities for 3-4 weeks.¹³

If you had implants installed, you should not sit down for the first 2-3 weeks so that you do not negatively impact the results. During this time, you should also wear pants with a banded waist around the clock. The stitches are usually removed after 12-14 days. If you do not perform any seated tasks in your profession, you can return to daily working life after about two weeks. You may resume your normal activities after about four weeks; the swelling usually recedes slowly over the course of six weeks.^14,15

The injection of one’s own body fat requires similar, albeit somewhat less intensive aftercare activities. For example, you may resume normal daily life again after only 4-7 days.¹⁶
