Buttock Contouring - RisksAs with any operative procedure, posterior correction also holds a number of risks and possible complications of a medical and aesthetic nature.
The medical concerns include the occurrence of bleeding or secondary bleeding; bruising, reddening, or skin irritation may also arise. In very rare cases, there may be infections in the operated areas or scar inflammation. Especially noteworthy are disturbances in the healing process in the area of the anal fold. Tissue may also die off.19,20
From an aesthetic perspective, there is always the possibility that you will not be completely satisfied with the end result. For example, asymmetric butt cheeks caused by unintended repositioning of implants or unevenly distributed liposuction are possible. Such asymmetry, however, can often be corrected through a further procedure.21
Your doctor will gladly clarify these and other risks as well as your personal risk situation in a private conversation.
