Calf Enhancement - Risks

As with any operative procedure, the risks of a calf enhancement must be weighed carefully. The procedure may result in infections, blood loss, or fluid accretion in the calf region. Blood effusions (haematoma) and swelling (oedema/edema) are possible. The implant can tear or move from its original position, which may entail a second procedure. Also possible are delays in the healing process, rampant scar tissue, and skin pigmentation.
In very rare cases there may be incidences of squeezing or pressure, which can lead to nervous lesions and signs of paralysis.4,5

The doctor who is treating you will gladly clarify these and further possible risks in greater detail.
