Cheek Correction - Risks

 

As in any surgical procedure, there may be medical or aesthetic complications in a cheek correction procedure, but this is rarely actually the case.

Implants may slide out of position, which may require a further operation in order to bring them back into position. It is also possible that the treatment results do not coincide with your desires 100%, which can likewise usually be corrected with a further procedure. If the cheeks have been injected with fat, rigidification may occur or asymmetries may arise.

Among the medical complications are the occurrence of bleeding or secondary bleeding, itchiness or other allergic reactions, bruises or even infections of the treated areas. The normally temporary irregularities in sensitivity in the upper lip and nasal areas may remain long-term in individual cases.14, 15
