Ear Correction - PreparationThe details of the operation will be discussed in a preliminary conversation with the doctor who is treating you; this means the results you desire as well as the operational method and the type of narcosis. As a rule, photographs of your ears are taken.
Special preparations are generally not necessary. Taking anticoagulant medications such as aspirin should be discontinued 10-14 days before the procedure. It is recommended that you purchase a broad headband which can be worn as a protective covering over your ears in the first days after the operation.9
Some doctors also recommend that you wash your hair multiple times on the day of treatment for infection reasons. You should speak about such measures and other possible preparatory measures in detail with your doctor.
