Hair Transplantation - PreparationDuring the first meeting with your doctor, your hair growth and loss will be evaluated. Any pre-existing cases of alopecia in your family as well as your history of illnesses will also be addressed. Based on your medical history, the examination, and your individual wishes and desires, the procedure will be planned with regard to methodology and organisation. For the operation, you should be in good general health. In the 1-2 weeks before the appointment date established for the first transplantation session, you should refrain from smoking as this may cause delays in the healing process. You should also refrain from using other intoxicants such as alcohol. Medications which impair blood clotting (e.g. aspirin) should be discontinued some time before the procedure.3,5
Please speak about these and further preparatory measures explicitly with your doctor.
