Generally, the preliminary conversation with your doctor will cover, among other things, exactly how you envision the treatment results and which treatment methods are suitable for achieving this. To this end, your lips as well as their composition and the tone of your skin will be taken into account.

Depending on which filling material you have selected, it may be necessary in some cases to undergo an allergy test four weeks prior to the procedure (especially for treatments involving collagen). Furthermore, you should be in good health and, if possible, refrain from smoking before the operation.⁴

Otherwise, there are typically no special preparatory measures which need to be observed. However, please speak about this in more detail with the doctor who is treating you.
